Murder Warrant Issued for Son of Man Killed in Springfield

Police issued a murder warrant for the son of a man killed in Springfield, Va., Tuesday night.

Gary Hanson, 75, was shot inside his home along Chancellor Way just off the Fairfax County Parkway.

Police swarmed the neighborhood and told residents to stay inside their homes until the area was secured.

Police issued a lookout for Hanson's son, 53-year-old Richard. Police said he has a medical condition and was considered a danger to himself.

Richard Hanson was eventually arrested in Scranton, Pa. He was taken into custody by Scranton police with assistance from U.S. Marshals.
