A sink hole opened up in the asphalt of 14th Street in northwest D.C. Saturday. It was caused by a 6 inch water main break under the street. 14th Street between F and G streets is closed to traffic while crews make repairs.
Officials say there are a lot of phone lines in the area, so repairs will be slow. Crews hope to have the repairs complete in time for the Monday morning rush hour.
