School Bus Fire in Rockville

A school bus caught fire along 270 Monday morning.

Rockville authorities responded to reports of a vehicle burning on Route 270 Monday morning.
The fire was on board a school bus, which was pulled over in the shoulder of the roadway.
According to police, the driver was the only one on the bus at the time of the fire, which started in the vehicle's engine compartment. He did not sustain any injuries.
Southbound lanes of Route 270 were shut down for the cleanup and investigation, but were all reopened by 1 p.m.
