D.C. Man Gets 18 Months for Robbing Md. Bank

A D.C. man who robbed a Clinton bank of more than $100,000 has been sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Twenty-four-year-old Emanuel Honemond entered the plea Monday in federal court in Greenbelt.

According to his plea agreement, in September 2011, Honemond and others entered the Navy Federal Credit Union. Prosecutors say the masked men announced a robbery and fled in a van with more than $100,000.

Authorities say the money had a hidden tracking device and police quickly found the robbers.
