Police in Alexandria arrested a man in connection to a sexual assault on Friday night.
The incident happened near an apartment building on Greenmount Drive.
According to police, the suspect forced a woman into a building on Greenmount Drive and tried to make her perform a sexual act.
The woman escaped and reported the incident, prompting police to arrive and form a perimeter. After cordoning off the area, authorities were able to capture the suspect. The female victim was unharmed.
