A car slammed into a McDonald's on Columbia Road near Calvert Street in Adams Morgan Friday afternoon.
Witnesses said the car was speeding when it crashed into the front entrance of the restaurant, News4’s Shomari Stone reported. Beams have been put in place to prevent collapse.
A woman inside the restaurant suffered minor injuries while jumping out of the way, witnesses said.
The driver is in serious condition, according to fire officials.
Streets in the area were closed.
