1 Trapped in Building Collapse in Baltimore

Firefighters have rescued a man who was trapped when a rowhouse collapsed across the street from Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
 

Fire and city officials say the man was removed from the rubble about 4:30 p.m. Monday and taken to a hospital.
 
Fire Department spokesman Ian Brennan says the collapse was reported about 12:35 p.m. of a two-story rowhouse in the 500 block of South Paca Street.
 
He says two people were trapped after the collapse, but one managed to escape and was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
 
Brennan said firefighters were in communication with the man while he was trapped.
 
The spokesman says while there was some work being done on the building, the cause of the collapse is unknown.cause of the collapse is unknown.
