Potato chips and concrete -- not exactly a good combo!

Commuters driving through Temple Hills Thursday morning had a slow go of it thanks to an accident involving two trucks.  One was carrying potato chips; the other sacks of concrete.

The two trucks collided on the Inner Loop of the Beltway at the ramp from St. Barnabas Road.  The Inner Loop was blocked for the early part of rush hour-- with only one lane getting by.

People trying to get onto the Beltway from westbound St. Barnabas Road were out of luck.  Highway crews shoved the trucks and their spilled loads onto the shoulder.

The Beltway reopened just before 6 a.m.
