In case that's not translating, those "dos" are the "Hawaii Five-O" theme song. You may know it. If not, you will soon.
Now, CBS is bringing it back; they've committed to making a pilot of a new "Five-O" to be penned by "Star Trek" and "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" writers Alex Kurtzman and Robert Orci, reported Variety. They will team with "CSI: NY" producer Peter Lenkov to revive the series.
The new "Hawaii Five-O" would join other blasts from the (more recent) past such as "Melrose Place" and "90210", and possibly go up against NBC's remake of mainland sleuthing -- "The Rockford Files."
We wish them all a more lasting fate than "Fantasy Island" or "Knight Rider."
