Cee-Lo Green In Talks to Judge NBC Talent Reality Show

Cee-Lo could be coming to a TV screen near you.

NBC's American Idol competitor may have just landed it's big-name judges, one of whom may make fans forget all about Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson.

Grammy-Award winning artist Cee-Lo Green is reportedly in discussions to serve on the panel of The Voice, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine is also rumored to be in talks for a spot on the Mark Brunett-produced show. A slew of other headliners, including Lenny Kravitz, John Legend and Mary J. Blige may be tapped and even Christina Aguilera has been mentioned as a judge.

The Voice, which will be hosted by Carson Daly, takes a different approach to the traditional talent show format by making the judges face away from the competitors, forcing them to focus soley on their vocal abilities and de-emphasizing their aesthetic appeal.

The program, which is based on a Dutch show, also differs from Idol in that the contestants are allowed to openly interact with fans and set up outside performance in an effort to build their fan bases. And in a further twist, The Voice will let aspiring stars audition via webcam.

The show is set to hit the air in the spring and the winner will receive $100,000 and a recording contract.
