Sherree Burruss is an anchor and reporter with the News4 sports team.

Burruss joined NBC4 in 2016 from WGCL-TV in Atlanta, where she covered the final season of the Braves at Turner Field and the Hawks’ 2016 playoff run.

Prior to that, she reported for KMIZ-TV in Columbia, Missouri, where she focused on the University of Missouri Tigers. She covered the Tigers as they played in two SEC championship football games, the 2014 Cotton Bowl and the 2015 Citrus Bowl.

She also covered Michael Sam when he became the first openly gay player to be drafted to the National Football League and the Kansas City Chiefs’ 2014 playoff run after a 35-year drought.

Burruss calls herself a proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin, and her love for the Badgers is always close to her heart.

    Burruss lives in Washington, D.C.
