Report: Robert Griffin III Could Return By End Of October

Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III, currently sidelined by a dislocated left ankle, could return by the end of the month, according to a report from NFL Network.

Griffin suffered the injury against the Jaguars on Sept. 14, but returned to the practice field Saturday and participated in stretching exercises prior to individual and team drills

Assuming Griffin does return in three weeks, that gives Kirk Cousins three more games -- Monday against the Seahawks, Oct. 12 against the Cardinals and Oct. 19 against the Titans -- to make coach Jay Gruden's decision more difficult. Cousins has yet to inspire much confidence, however, after his disastrous, four-interception performance against the Giants on Sept. 25.

As a starter in his career, Cousins has thrown four touchdowns and five interceptions with a QBR of 78.4. That is compared to two touchdowns, zero inteceptions and a QBR of 109.4 as a substitute.

Then again, The Washington Post is reporting that the above report is inaccurate, so I don't know.
