On Wednesday we saw proof that rookie duties still exist, even in a lockout.
At the end of the second day of the Redskins' players-only minicamp, the only job left to be done was packing up the equipment.
Camp leader London Fletcher had just the guy for the job.
“D.Y.,” he said to fullback Darrel Young. “You’re still a rookie, right?”
And with that question, Young inherited the job of cleaning up. He was a little reluctant -- until he realized what that meant.
“I get to drive the cart?” he asked excitedly.
He jumped up like a kid on Christmas and ran to his new set of wheels, with Andre Brown following close behind.
Sometimes, it’s the little things in life that make us the happiest…
