After years of forcing flyers' legs into awkward yoga positions and serving them steaming heaps of god-knows-what, one airline is taking the skies this month with a novel concept: bringing the humanity back to the airline industry.
JetBlue, despite rising fuel prices and stumbling earnings, is offering active members of the Armed Forces $1 fares on nonstop domestic flights from Washington Dulles Airport or Richmond International Airport in honor of National Military Appreciation Month.
The airline is also providing military personnel traveling with duffel bags and military orders an exemption from the overweight, over-sized, and second and third baggage fees.
Offer applies to newly booked air-only JetBlue flight purchases made between May 5 and May 7, for travel between May 8 and May 31.
