NBC Sports Washington Announces Comprehensive Coverage of Capitals 2021 Season

With the Capitals set to begin their season on Jan. 14, NBC Sports Washington announced Thursday its coverage for the 2021 regular season that will include live broadcasts of games and gameday shows as well as written, video and audio content.

Joe Beninati and Craig Laughlin are back as NBC Sports Washington will broadcast 49 of the Capitals' 56 regular-season games starting with the opener at Buffalo on Jan. 14. It will be the 24th consecutive season for Beninati and Laughlin together. The team will also have seven nationally televised games -- five on NBC and two on NBCSN.

Coverage for each Capitals game will begin with Capitals Pregame Live and every game will be followed by Capitals Postgame Live, each hosted by Alexa Shaw. Each show will be one hour and will provide news, analysis and commentary from former players, NHL experts, reporters and other special guests including NBC Sports Washington's talented crew of analysts such as Alan May, Nick Ashoo, Al Koken and Brent Johnson. Bruce Boudreau, the Caps' head coach from 2008 to 2011, will also be featured.

NBC Sports Washington's live Capitals coverage, including gameday shows, will continue to be available to authenticated subscribers to stream live on the MyTeams app and NBCSportsWashington.com.
