It's not news that DreamWorks is planning a sequel to their dragon-fest box-office hit. It will be ready to hit theaters in 2013.
But what you don't know is what is going to happen in that sequel. Comedian and actor T.J. Miller swears to PopcornBiz that he has the real details. And he would know, since he starred as the rough Tuffnut in "Dragon" with his buddy Jay Baruchel (though he was pretty abusive in the movie)
He also verbally abused Baruchel without the Vikings clothes in "She's Out of My League" which is out on Blu-ray and DVD this week.
Miller swears he knows DreamWorks honcho/CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg - the guy who is going to make his vision come true.
Miller's sequel vision: "I haven't talked about it with Katzenberg yet, but I'm thinking about having all the others killed except for the dragons and Astrid and then the film is all about me." Sounds reasonable enough. Tuffnut is definitely leading man material. He's ready for animation breakout.
More details: "I'm trying to pitch something where (the killed characters) all become zombies because they're infected with a virus."
Tuffnut, dragons, Vikings and zombies. It can't lose. Working title? "28 Vikings Later."
Genius. Tell people you read it here first.
Even if he doesn't get his way, and Baruchel is the leading man (again), Miller will work with it. Because he knows he'll probably have to abuse Baruchel as usual in the movie, the consummate pro Miller is making sure he stays in shape.
"I'll call him in real life and say, you're being a (expletive), get your (expletive) together. And then I hang up," says Miller. "I just want to keep him in that mode for our next film together."
