The Washington state teen suspect in the case of six-year-old Jenise Wright's death was a family friend whom her father "took under his wing," NBC News reported. "It was hard learning [the suspect] was a friend of the family," said James Wright, Jenise's father, who was trying to teach the 17-year-old unnamed suspect how to be "responsible to his community." Jenise's body was discovered August 7 and the suspect was arrested on August 9.
