Gun-Toting Man Shot by U.S. Agents at Border Bridge

U.S. Customs and Border Protections officers shot a Canadian man on Sunday after he waved a handgun while walking from the Canadian side of the border to Detroit on the Ambassador Bridge, the agency said, NBC News reported. The man stopped his car and approached an inspection booth, where he got out of his vehicle and started waving a gun. When he refused orders to drop his weapon, he was shot by an officer. He was taken to a hospital and treated for his injuries and then taken into custody, U.S. CBP said in a statement.
