A 22-year-old Maryland woman was fatally struck by two vehicles after she got out of her car during an argument with her boyfriend.

Ebony Short of Clarksville was driving eastbound on I-70 when the two got into a verbal argument with her boyfriend just before 10 p.m. Tuesday, Maryland State Police said.

Short stopped the car on the right shoulder, got out and was walking in the roadway when she was struck by two eastbound vehicles.

Her boyfriend and other drivers called 911, but Short died at the scene.
