Those of you eagerly anticipating the Washington Wizards' next playoff series will have to wait a few more days. The NBA announced Wednesday that the Wizards' second-round series against either the Indiana Pacers or Atlanta Hawks will begin Monday regardless of opponent.
The eighth-seeded Hawks lead the top-seeded Pacers 3-2 with Game 6 Thursday in Atlanta. If the Hawks win, they will become the sixth No. 8 seed in NBA history to knock off a No. 1 seed in the opening round of the playoffs. The Pacers are also 0-10 in series all-time when trailing 3-2.
An Atlanta win would also secure home-court advantage for fifth-seeded Washington, which would open the series at Verizon Center.
