Victim of Woodbridge Townhouse Fire Identified

Police have identified the man killed in a consuming fire at a Woodbridge, Virginia home last week as Aladin Mohamed Yousef, 56, of Woodbridge.

Firefighters and Prince William County police responded to a raging fire on Ponderosa Court about 2:40 a.m. on March 16. The blaze displaced six adults and three children, and one firefighter received a minor injury.

Yousef couldn't be found after the fire erupted. During the blaze, a man arrived and screamed, "My dad, my dad," neighbor Joyce Shingler said Wednesday, beginning to cry. That man needed to be restrained, she and other neighbors said.

The next day, investigators found remains in the home, but they were not identified until Monday. Investigators have not released his cause of death or the cause or origin of the fire.
