The chief of campus police at Virginia Commonwealth University went online to solicit sex from a juvenile, according to the Chesterfield County Police Department.
William B. Fuller, 50, thought he was communicating with a 14-year-old girl rather than police, according to investigators.
Fuller was arrested Wednesday. He is charged with use of a communications device to solicit sex from a minor and attempted indecent liberties with a minor.
He was held without bond pending a pretrial city.
VCU placed Fuller on administrative leave without pay.
