BURKE, Va. -- A Fairfax County teen hit by a car last week while running for his school bus has died.
County police said 16-year-old Shahm Khaznadar of Burke died Monday night from his injuries.
Police said the Robinson Secondary School student was hit around 7 a.m. on Jan. 21 as he tried to cross Burke Centre Parkway in the Burke area.
Police said Khaznadar started out in the crosswalk but veered out of it and into the path of a 1998 Ford Mustang. He was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where he died Monday night.
