Strong winds knocked down a tree into a Montgomery County, Maryland, home, creating a gas leak on Christmas Day.
Fire officials said the tree fell on a house in the 7600 block of Edenwood Court in Bethesda, Maryland, around 2:15 p.m. They believe strong wind knocked down the tree.
Spokesman Pete Piringer said no one was home at the time. He said the fallen tree damaged the gas meter, creating a gas leak.
There were no injuries, but Piringer said the family will not be able to return to the home until the meter is repaired.
