A teacher is accused of assaulting a 4-year-old girl at a Virginia day care.
Syeda Sunnia Ali, 27, had the girl in her care at Minnieland Academy in Woodbridge when she threw her to the ground July 5, police said. Ali was seen picking the girl up by her ankles and dropping her on her head.
The girl suffered minor injuries, police said.
After an investigation, police arrested Ali Friday on charges of assault and battery. She was released on an unsecured bond.
