Authorities say a Bethesda man has been arrested on charges of sexually abusing a young neighbor and a child who was in his care when he worked as a live-in babysitter.
Takoma Park police announced the arrest of 46-year-old Jerry Cosino Parnecio on Tuesday. Police say Parnecio has been charged with multiple counts of sex abuse of a minor from incidents they say occurred between 2002 and 2008 in Takoma Park, Maryland.
Police spokeswoman Catherine Plevy says Parnecio has lived in Bethesda since 2008 and has been working for numerous families in the Washington metropolitan area as a nanny and a helper performing other odd jobs.
