Metro's new Silver Line is scheduled to open in about two weeks, but Metro says the contractor building the line still has some extensive work to do.
Among the issues that still need to be addressed: water is leaking into some stations, and special tape that prevents the electrified third rail from freezing still has to be installed.
Despite the remaining work, Metro says the line is still on track to open July 26.
Some train schedules will start changing July 21 for Blue and Orange Line riders.
