Second Suspect Arrested in Fatal MLK Day Shooting

Police arrested  a second suspect in the slaying of a man in southeast D.C. on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Kevin Owens, 22, was shot to death in the 3400 block of 13th Place SE the afternoon of Jan. 19, police said. He suffered multiple wounds.

Police arrested 20-year-old Darryl Malloy of northwest D.C. about 11 a.m. Tuesday. He is charged with second-degree murder while armed.

Police arrested Markell Alston of Hyattsville in January and charged him with second-degree murder while armed, as well as unlawful entry from an unrelated warrant.
