Police Identify Suspect Sought in Southeast Homicide

Police are searching for a 26-year-old man in connection with the shooting death of a man in southeast D.C. 

Last month, officers found 31-year-old Melvin Williams dead in the 2300 block of Ainger Place SE. On Monday, investigators identified Derrick Carter as their suspect. 

Carter has been charged with second degree murder while armed. Police say Carter is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 125 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.
