Authorities were called to Main and Water streets in Upper Marlboro around 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Patsy Stokes Burton, who worked in the area, was crossing the street when she was struck by a county transportation bus, also known as "The Bus." Burton, 69, died at the scene.

Surveillance video shows the woman walking on a crosswalk, but officials have not yet determined whether she was crossing against the stoplight.
