Man Wanted for Stabbing Ex-Girlfriend, Her Mother Turns Himself in: Sheriff

A man has turned himself into authorities after deputies say he stabbed his ex-girlfriend and her mother in Charles County, Maryland.

The Charles County Sheriff's Office says 24-year-old Deon Johnson broke into his ex-girlfriend's home in the 2700 block of Port Tobacco Road in Nanjemoy and stabbed them.

The 65-year-old mother is in critical condition and her 22-year-old daughter has serious stab wounds, the sheriff's office said.

Deputies say Johnson broke into the house before dawn Wednesday and ran off after the stabbing. They searched for him in nearby woods on foot, with ATVs and with drones, but could not find him.

He turned himself in Wednesday night, the sheriff's office said.

The sheriff's office said the mother had a stay away order against Johnson and he violated the order last August.
