A man who was struck by a falling tree in Northwest D.C. during last week's fierce windstorm has died, police confirm.
Paul Agbo, 50, of Burtonsville, was driving on the 2500 block of 44th Street Northwest, near Glover Archibold Park, when a tree fell onto his SUV.
Agbo was trapped in the vehicle before rescuers freed him and took him to George Washington University Hospital with critical injuries.
He was taken off life support on Wednesday.
The nor'easter that tore through a large area of the east coast and brought a deadly windstorm to the D.C. area claimed the lives of at least nine other people, including a 6-year-old boy in Virginia who died after a tree fell on his home and a passenger riding in a truck in James County, Virginia.
