Kennedy Center to Offer $10 Tickets to ‘Hamilton' on Performance Days

You have a chance to see "Hamilton" for just $10.

The Tony Award-winning show is coming to the Kennedy Center this summer. On the day of each performance, the Kennedy Center will offer 40 $10 tickets.

Details on how the system will work will be announced at a later date.

The Kennedy Center hasn't said how many people purchased tickets when sales opened to the public Monday, but some tickets are left, including the premium ones. But they will cost you more than $600.

Hamilton runs from June 12 through September 16.

"Hamilton" is the story of America's founding father Alexander Hamilton. The score features a blend of hip hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway. The show was first performed three years ago in New York. Since its opening, Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical has won 11 Tony Awards, a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album and the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
