Streets Flood in Parts of Va.

Parts of the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia experienced dangerous flooding Monday.

Heavy rain triggered flood warnings in Page, Warren, Fauquier, Rappahannock, Culpeper and Orange counties into the afternoon.

Video from Woodstock, Virginia, shows high water up to the doors of some businesses on Main Street. As a result of the flooding, an assisted living facility and 30 trailers in the Woodpark Lane community were evacuated.

Officials in Shenandoah County declared a local emergency.

"We are dealing with a variety of emergencies in the central part of Shenandoah County associated with this flooding event," said Shenandoah County Fire Chief Gary Yew.

The heaviest rain remained south of D.C. Monday.

There's a chance for stronger thunderstorms in the D.C. area Tuesday.
