DNA evidence led to the arrest of a man accused of sexually assaulting four women in a northern Virginia apartment more than 20 years ago, police said.
Fairfax County police on Monday announced charges against Jude J.D. Lovchik, 49, of Ocala, Florida. Lovchik lived in northern Virginia until last month.
He is being held on a fugitive charge but will face charges including armed burglary, abduction with intent to defile and sodomy after he is extradited to Virginia.
The case is from June 1995, when four women were assaulted in an apartment in Reston, police said.
Police said they received the DNA evidence in August of this year as they pursued a lead in the case.
