Missing Teen May be With Dad's Girlfriend

Police Seeking Person Of Interest In William Van Croft Case was originally published on City Desk on Mar. 21, 2009, at 2:48 pm. 

Police are now searching for 40-year-old Erika Laws in connection with the disappearance of 17-year-old William Van Croft IV on Jan. 31.  Laws was the fiancée of William Van Croft III, a leader at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Washington and former business owner who died in January.    

Ms. Laws is described as a 40-year-old black female, 5’3” in height, weighing 125 pounds, with black and brown hair and brown eyes.

William Van Croft, who has Aspberger's Syndrome, was last seen at about 4:30 pm on Thursday, January 31, 2009 in the 1300 block of G Street, S.E.  He is described as a medium complexioned black male, 5’8” tall, weighing about 168 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

William Van Croft was last seen wearing blue jeans and a burgundy sweater.  He is in need of medication and may appear to be disoriented.

Anyone who has information regarding the whereabouts of William Van Croft or Erika Laws is asked to call police at 202-727-9099.
