A woman was unloading items from her car with her toddler in the backseat in D.C. when a man came up and pointed a gun at her and demanded her belongings, police say.

The woman told police the armed robbery happened in broad daylight about 5 p.m. in the 1700 block of 4th St. NW on Tuesday.

According to a police report, she told the suspect she had a child in the vehicle and the suspect responded, "Just give me everything!"

The suspect got into the driver's seat of an older model blue/green van and fled away, the report said.

    No one was injured.

The suspect took a diaper bag, pink leather purse, the woman's wallet and her cellphone, police said.
