1 Dead, 1 Injured in Shooting in Northeast Washington

Police are investigating a fatal shooting in northeast Washington.
 
  Police say they were called to the 200 block of 55th Street NE on Sunday around 1:30 a.m. for a report of gunshots. Police say when they arrived they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Police say the man was unconscious and unresponsive and that he died of his injuries. Police identified the man as 39-year-old William Arthur Wells Jr. of Washington.
 
  Police say a second man was found nearby in the 5500 block of Blaine Street suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
