Redmond O'Neal, the son of actors Ryan O'Neal and Farrah Fawcett, appeared before a Los Angeles Superior Court judge Friday morning, where he admitted to violating his probation for bringing drugs into a LA-area jail facility
On April 5, O'Neal was arrested after he was found carrying heroin while visiting a jail facility in Castaic, Calif., north of Los Angeles.

O'Neal entered the courtroom on Friday in handcuffs wearing a brown jumpsuit. When asked by the judge if he understood and admitted that he had violated his probation, he replied, "Yes, your Honor."
O'Neal, 24, was then taken back into custody.

Despite online reports that he had been released into a rehab facility, O'Neal did not post bail – which is listed at $150,000 – and will remain in custody until next Friday. He is scheduled to appear at another hearing in the same courtroom.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, O'Neal also has an ongoing case at LAX court regarding a DUI & drug arrest from January 2008.
Additionally, O'Neal and his father, Ryan O'Neal, were arrested on September 17, 2008 at the actor's Malibu home after police said they found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia during a search.

On Thursday, O'Neal's mother, Farrah Fawcett, was released from an undisclosed LA-area hospital after a brief hospitalization related to complications from a minor procedure, a rep for the star confirmed to Access Hollywood.
