Jennifer Hudson ‘Honored And Humbled' By Grammy Nominations

Jennifer Hudson may have to make some room next to her Oscar — the “Dreamgirls” star has been nominated for four Grammy awards for her self-titled debut album.

“It’s been a childhood dream of mine to release an album, so to receive 4 Grammy nominations is truly a blessing,” she said in a statement to Access Hollywood. “ I’m extremely honored and humbled by the nominations.”

Jennifer was nominated for Best R&B Album, Best Female R&B Performance with Vocals and Best R&B Song for her first single, “Spotlight,” and Best R&B Performance by a Duo Or Group with Vocals for “I’m Only His Woman.”

The nominations are a bright spot in an otherwise tragic fall season for the singer-actress, who lost her mother and brother in an October double homicide. Her nephew, Julian King, was found dead several days after the shootings.

A suspect, Jennifer’s estranged brother-in-law William Balfour, has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of home invasion in the deaths, and was denied bail on Wednesday.
