NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (AP) — Authorities say a woman was raped and robbed at a hotel in Virginia.
The Daily Press reports a 23-year-old woman told Newport News police that an unknown male pointed a gun at her face and then raped and robbed her at a hotel Thursday.
Master Police Officer Brandon Maynard says the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money, the victim’s cellphone, personal identification cards and some mail.
Maynard says the offender was seen driving from the hotel parking lot in a white four-door sedan.
Surveillance video showing the suspect walking around the hotel has been released. Authorities say they are not releasing further information because the investigation is ongoing.
