DOSWELL, Va. (AP) — Authorities say no charges will be filed in the drowning of a 5-year-old boy in a motel pool near the Kings Dominion amusement park.
The Hanover County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday that investigators have concluded the death of Giovanne Ofosu-Antwi was accidental.
Giovanne was found in the pool at the Days Inn Doswell last Saturday. He was taken to a hospital, where he died. The boy lived in Dumfries.
The sheriff’s office says investigators consulted with prosecutors and determined that charges were not appropriate.
