WASHINGTON — Two women were shot Monday evening in Northeast D.C., and one of them remains in critical condition Tuesday morning.
The D.C. police say the shooting happened in the 4300 block of Benning Road Northeast around 8:30 p.m. Officers responded to a report of shots fired and found two women suffering from gunshot wounds. Bullets also apparently struck several cars in the area during the shooting.
The victims were both taken to a hospital. One woman was released; the other, who is 18 years old, is still in the hospital in critical condition.
