Celebrating Black History: The Legacy Continues at Military Road School

A school that was a beacon of change and opportunity after the Civil War still stands in northwest D.C. The Military Road School was the first in the Washington area to educate the children of former slaves. A teacher and several students who were there before the school was shut down after the Brown v. Board of Education decision in 1954 recently went back to see what's changed.
