A former Manassas, Va., teacher pleaded guilty to a sex offense involving a former student, according to a Prince William County prosecutor.
Kevin Ricks faces up to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty Thursday to indecent liberties with a minor, Prince William Commonwealth's Attorney Paul Ebert said. The victim is a 16-year-old former student.
Prosecutors presented a Prince William County circuit court judge with a journal entry in which the 50-year-old Ricks detailed sexual contact with the male teen, Ebert said.
Ricks, a Federalsburg, Md. resident, is being held at the Prince William County Detention Center. He will be sentenced in October.
Federal prosecutors charged Ricks earlier this week with transporting and possessing child pornography.
