A northern Virginia man accused of having terror connections will stay behind bars for the next 30 days.
Jubair Ahmad, 24, of Woodbridge, appeared before United States Magistrate Judge Ivan D. Davis Wednesday afternoon.
Ahmad waived his detention hearing and a judge ordered him held without bond.
Ahmad was taken into custody after federal authorities raided his apartment in Woodbridge last week. Investigators said Ahamd made a video on YouTube that glorified violent jihad and terrorism.
He will spend at least the next 30 days in prison, waiting for further action from a grand jury.
