Fairfax County police are warning parents and students after a 14-year-old girl said a man approached her two different times at a school bus stop.
A man, described as a white or Hispanic man in his 20s, drove up to the bus stop at Hollinger Avenue and Koke Way in Fairfax, Virginia, on Monday and again on Thursday morning, police said. He offered her a ride both times. When she said no, the man drove away.
The man drove a newer model white Jeep Cherokee.
Police are reminding students to always walk with friends and stand with others at the bus stop and be aware of their surroundings.
Police are also asking anyone who has seen a similar situation to call (703) 691-2131.
