Prince George's County police say a 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman have been found dead in a murder-suicide in Laurel.
Authorities identified the man as Adam Owsley II and the woman as Aeris Beard, both of Laurel. Police say their bodies were found in an apartment in the 14100 block of Bramble Court, where Owsley lived, about 7 p.m. Sunday.
Authorities described the deaths as a murder and a suicide.
They said Owsley shot Beard before taking his life.
Police say Owsley and Beard had been in a relationship for about three years. They were high school sweethearts and had a 2-year-old son together.
Owsley had gone to Beard's home Saturday to take her shopping for some things for their son.
Family and friends said their split was amicable and they have no idea why he would have shot her.
