UPDATE: The girls were found safe in D.C. on Friday night. police said.
Montgomery County Police are asking for help in locating two 17-year-old girls.
Diamond Marie Thaggard and Ashley Hunter, both of Silver Spring, were last seen March 8.
According to a release, Diamond is described as a "black female with brown eyes and brown hair in twists." She is 5'4" and weighs approximately 185 pounds. She has a tattoo of her date of birth on her left hand and wears glasses.
Ashley is described as a "black female with brown eyes and black curly hair." She has piercings in her nose, eyebrow and navel. Ashley was last seen wearing a black jacket and red-and-white sneakers.
Anyone who has information about either Thaggard or Hunter is asked to call the Montgomery County Police at 301-279-8000. Callers may remain anonymous.
