The following stories have been hand-selected by the Assignment Desk at News4:

SCOOTER BIKE GANG
The Capital: "Bob Drury knows motorcycles. With ease, the 53-year-old owner of a Pasadena paving company talks about exhaust pipes, suspension systems and carburetors. And given the time, Drury is happy to help friends fix up their bikes. The 6-foot tall, 240-pound father of one doesn't ride a Harley or a Buell though. There are no crotch rockets or choppers in his garage. Drury's ride of choice is a plum-colored Vespa LX 50 scooter."

BEAR CENSUS IN MARYLAND
Frederick News Post: "Maryland wildlife managers are starting a new black bear population study.
The Department of Natural Resources says it’s beginning field work Tuesday on a project to estimate the number of bears in Frederick, Washington, Allegany and Garrett counties.Biologist Harry Spiker says this is the state’s first attempt to scientifically gauge the number of black bears in all four western counties. Previous studies have focused only on Garrett and Allegany."

15 YEAR OLD GRADUATES FROM COLLEGE
ap/wtop.com: "A 15-year-old is now the youngest person to ever graduate from the University of Baltimore.  Ty Hobson-Powell walked across the stage on Sunday as part of the procession of 625 graduates - a month shy of his 16th birthday. He's not your typical brainiac. He tweets and plays basketball."
